Christmas 2005 - I liken my view of the harbor at night to a Disneyland ride I remember from my childhood — Story Book Land. You can watch the twinkling lights and the boats as they flow from one place to another and I just envision them being Mr. Toad going to Wind and the Willows. I never tire of this magical view. 4/2006 - What a teriffic cottage. We’ve been coming to the Abacos for 5 years, stayed on Lubbers Quarters and Green Turtlle but Hope Town is the Best. Your cottage is terrific — close to the boat, the beach and town. You’ve done a wonderful job decorating and the everthing is so well designed for enjoyment. Thanks for a fabulous place to stay and relax away from the world for a while. We loved the porch! So fun to observe all the activities in the harbour and see our favorite lighthouse. This is our favorite place to come to hang out with friends. 7/2006 - After searching 5 hours a night for a week for a rental, we found you online and by luck ended up in your wonderful cottage. It was even better than expected. Fantastic location, tasteful and cute décor, very thoughtful use of space, clever amenities. And I haven’t even mentioned the porch. Such a great place to “live”, eat, drink and watch the world go by. As a family of 4 we were very spread out, and everyone found their special nook or crany to enjoy books, games, movies or whatever. Carissa Cottage was an ideal spot for our 7th trip to Hope Town. We first came in 1992 and have returned to enjoy all it offers: beautiful beaches, fishing, snorkeling, Vernon’s great pies, Captain Jack’s, Tahiti Beach, Pete’s Pub, etc. Your home is beautifully done and we were very comfortable. We’ve been coming here for 15 years as a family. This is the first time in Carissa and the first time I’ve enjoyed preparing means. Lovely views, dinner on the porch were a respite from the usual. And I must say the WiFi was a blessing. We have a 13 year old and a lap top. I enjoyed the DVD’s you have and we played a few board games while we were here.
